Statement of Interest Notice

Mason Square Business Activation Grant

We are excited to offer the Mason Square TDI Small Business Activation Grant Program to support and elevate local small businesses in the Mason Square TDI district. To make the initial application process as simple as possible, we have created a brief Statement of Interest form to collect basic information about your business and your proposed project.

The Mason Square TDI Small Business Activation Grant Program was created to support and elevate local small businesses and promote the economic success of the local businesses within the Mason Square TDI district by providing grants and consulting services for branding, marketing, and placemaking efforts.

ā€‹

This program provides funding in four main areas: 

  1. Company Branding & Storytelling Support: This includes redesigning logos and affiliate brand materials, enhancing brand materials, creating photos and videos for products, patrons, etc., and support for podcasting and other media.

  2. Digital Media & Web Presence: This includes support for Google and other web listings, social media strategy, tools training, and content support.

  3. Place-based Brand Design & Implementation: This includes improving storefronts with signage, painting, lighting, etc., providing interior design support to elevate desirability and brand alignment, and preparing space for retail and vendor popups.

  4. Placemaking Design & Activation: This includes identifying, conceptualizing, designing, and building shared public spaces in the Mason Square TDI District through a community-engaged process that promotes equitable development, resident and visitor activation, safe and accessible communities, and small business growth. This may include murals and public art, public community spaces, events and activities, and wayfinding resources.

To submit a Statement of Interest, please provide the following information:

  1. Business Name

  2. Business Location (Address)

  3. Do you live and/or have a physical space in the TDI District?

  4. Primary Contact Name

  5. Primary Contact Email

  6. Primary Contact Phone Number

  7. Brief Description of the Project You Are Looking to Have Funded

 

This information will help us understand your business and your proposed project, and will allow us to follow up with you to provide further information on the application process. We encourage all eligible businesses in the Mason Square TDI district to apply, and we are here to support you throughout the process.

What happens next? 

After you submit your Statement of Interest, the Mason Square TDI Small Business Activation Grant Committee will carefully review your submission to determine if you meet the baseline eligibility requirements for the grant. If the committee needs further clarification or has follow-up questions, we will reach out to you directly to discuss.

 

If the committee determines that you are eligible to apply for the grant, we will send you a link to the full application. This application will ask for more detailed information about your business and your proposed project and will allow us to better understand your goals and how we can support you in achieving them.
